Journal Club Competition Guidelines
Overview: Think. Present. Debate.

Present and discuss a PubMed-indexed research paper in a short, focused format. This competition aims to sharpen critical thinking, interpretation, and presentation skills using real-world biomedical literature.

Format
  • Time: 5 minutes per presentation
  • Slides: 5–6 PowerPoint slides (PPT)
  • Language: English
  • Participation: Solo participation

  • AI in Biomedical Research
  • Medical Ethics
  • Doctor–Patient Relationship

Choose one category that best aligns with your selected research article.

Guidelines
  • Choose a PubMed-indexed research article relevant to your selected topic category.
  • Your presentation should highlight the:
    • Background and significance of the research.
    • Main objective(s) of the study.
    • Key findings and results.
    • Implications and potential impact of the findings.
    • Your critical appraisal/critique of the paper (strengths, limitations, future directions).
  • Use engaging visuals (graphs, diagrams, key figures from the paper if appropriate and cited).
  • Keep your points clear, concise, and impactful within the time limit.
  • Submit your selected article (e.g., PDF or link to PubMed) and PPT slides in advance. (Submission Link: submit.dmcrac.org/JournalClubCompetetion)
